Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD)

The Committee on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD) at MHSMUN invites delegates to the forefront of global discourse on the intersection of science, technology, and sustainable development.  Future leaders, innovators, and global citizens— in an era where AI continues to reshape our world and possibly even take over, we must critically evaluate its impact on global development and plan a course for a better future. CSTD invites delegates to explore the expansive role of artificial intelligence and digital innovations in harnessing emerging technologies to create a more equitable and prosperous world. Whether it be through discussing digital health innovations or environmental sustainability through the lens of AI, both the possibility of sustainable development alongside mitigating its corresponding risks exist. Delegates, join us in shaping the policies that will guide the integration of AI and technology into the future of international progress as well as communal ideals.
